Punta Caracol    Panama

Punta Caracol originated from the concept of creating an aqua-lodge on a virgin and natural environment. Its idea is to bring its visitors a pure and intimate experience, on a place of singular beauty, where they can relax from the comfort offered. Raised over the Caribbean Sea, by a 2km coral coast, Punta Caracol has been constructed using the traditional methods of the archipelago: stilts support a wooden frame over the water enclosed by a palm leafs roof - an unforgettable tradition from the native communities of the area. Using materials offered by nature like different kinds of woods and plants, clay, leafs, bamboo, wild cane and others, it is achieved a warm atmosphere that takes us back to the origins.

Enjoy stilted cabins where you will have access to crystal clear waters from your private terrace and observe the impressive sunset interrupted only by playful dolphins. Feel immersed by the sounds of nature while laying down on a colonial style bed in the second level master bedroom, or just relax with a hot water shower in your private bathroom after an exciting tour of the area. Learn how to coexist with the advanced systems of renewable energy including solar panels that provide electricity to the cabins and the bio-digester that debugs sewage waters avoiding any type of pollution impact on the environment.

Why Visit?

You will find fascinating to cross over the numerous island of the archipelago, overcoming rivers, visiting indigenous communities, admiring majestic sea birds at flight or other creatures of the forest like the cute sloth or the radiant red frogs. Diving around coral reefs and colorful fishes or spending some time fishing, will reveal the surprisingly, and for some unknown, marine world.
